Celebrate Cultures with an Untranslatable Shirt from Mother Tongues! (end 11/19/2013) #giveaway

$40 Gift Card Giveaway

MotherTongues celebrates life-affirming words from many different languages. These unique words are printed on fair-trade, organic cotton t-shirts as well as postcards and other items.

MotherTongues is committed to buying fair-trade products, being environmentally friendly, and giving back to the community. Some of the ways that MotherTongues gives back is through donations to the Center for Women in Transition, the American Cancer Society, 1% for the Planet, Green America, and through buying carbon offset energy credits through NativeEnergy.

The words that are used on MotherTongues' shirts are powerful words from other world-languages that cannot be directly translated into English. For example, the Zulu word "ubuntu" means being in harmony with all of creation.

I was immediately drawn to the Swedish shirt Lagom, which means that enough is as good as a feast. This is a principle I'd like to apply in my own life. It's about not being so materialistic and not worrying about perfectionism. For me, it's also about being grateful for what I have. I love my organic shirt from MotherTongues!

Now it's your turn to enjoy the wonderful messages and shirts from MotherTongues! MotherTongues is giving away a $40 gift card to one lucky Why We Love Green winner! To enter, fill out the Rafflecopter form below. (Please give the widget a moment to load.)
