Easy Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes! {Infographic}

I love homemade cakes for birthdays! They're so much more personalized and have so much more character than store-bought cakes.

You can't have a birthday without cake, right? As we are approaching my husband's and son's birthdays this summer, I'm so excited to have found this ice cream cone cake infographic from Betty Crocker!

I remember baking cakes with my mom for my birthday parties. One year, we baked a pink cake and had my birthday party outside at the local library. My friends and I all sat on a blanket in the grass and ate our cake and opened presents. It was a delicious cake and such a fun, outdoor party! (That's pretty rare for a February birthday!!)

Read on for the ice cream cone infographic and for more easy recipe ideas from Betty Crocker.

Right now my favorite cake trends are mini cakes and cupcakes. Cupcakes make serving so easy and are really convenient for kids' birthday parties! I also love how you can do special fillings in each cupcake--something I'm considering for my son's dinosaur-themed birthday party this summer.

In particular, I love these ice cream cone cakes in the infographic. My husband is (strangely) obsessed with having his ice cream in a cone, so I think these will be perfect for his 30th birthday (!!) this summer. I plan on using some green food coloring to make the cake itself green and possibly also the frosting. Perhaps green sprinkles as well? That's his favorite color and I know he'll just love it!

I addition to the cake infographic, check out these 5 summery cake recipes that are easy to make! (Read: NOT time consuming!) Then  let this infographic from Betty Crocker inspire you and spark your creative baker in you!
